National Framework of Informal Education Awards
|
 |
The network for accrediting young people's achievement was formed in 1998 by
the National Youth Agency together with a range of key national accrediting
bodies in informal education to foster co-operation and professional
knowledge-sharing between organisations.
In 2002 the network published the first National Framework of Informal
Education Awards, a document which included guidance on the merits of the
contributing Awards, as well as suggesting parity between Informal Education
Awards and the National Qualification Framework. This publication is now in its
fourth edition (April 2007) and has been updated to reflect the latest changes
to the Awards.
