Internal Moderation Process delete this

Ideally, the Internal Moderator (IM) should set Internal Moderation meetings throughout the year, to precede external moderation events by at least 6 weeks.  move this to mod page

Mentors build portfolios with young learners, aiming for completion to coincide with one of the Internal Moderation meetings.

<arrow>

At the IM meeting, Mentors cross-moderate each other's portfolios.

<arrow>

The IM should circulate throughout the group ensuring that assessment standards are uniform.

<arrow>

Wherever possible, the IM should then double check the portfolios before initialling the assessment record sheet.

<arrow>

When the IM is satisfied that the portfolios are assessed to a uniform standard, and that the evidence produced is current, valid, authentic and sufficient (sufficiency = enough material to show evidence of the learning process), the portfolios are ready for external moderation.

Accreditation Process

With the young learner, decide to aim for accreditation.

Check forthcoming moderation dates and venues.

<arrow>

Have an Internal Moderation process in place.  link to mod page box

<arrow>

When you are certain the young learner will successfully complete a portfolio, complete an Internal Moderation Form*link to NEW FORM

<arrow>

Send the completed form to the Getting Connected Administrator, University of the First Age, who will register learners with OCN.

<arrow>

OCN moderators will select a sample of work, and UFA will notify you of the required sample.

<arrow>

Bring the sample of work to the moderation event where it will either be accredited or referred for further work.

<arrow>

UFA will invoice your project.

<arrow>

When payment is received, certificates will be issued (normally 2 weeks).
That's it!
